Abstract
One of the aspects of Sufis' lives that has received little attention in research is the issue of their reactions to and behavior toward the tyrant rulers of their time. The present paper aims to show that real Sufis never confirmed or justified the oppressions of tyrant rulers. They kept away from such rulers, they did not attend their meetings they had organizations independent of governments they did not accept their presents and they refused to accept governmental positions. On the contrary, they always told the truth. They resorted to the public and supported people. They used every possible way to express their dissatisfaction about oppression and did their best to prevent it.
