Abstract
In this paper we have studied the influence of Rumi's Sufi insight and intuition in the genesis of Mathnawi and Diwan-e Shams poems with the descriptive and analytic method. The main question of the research is whether Rumi's Sufi insight and intuition had an effect on the genesis of his poems? The research approach is the genesis study and its purpose is to prove Rumi's Sufi insight and intuition and how it affects the genesis of his poems. In the text of the article, by presenting evidence, we have examined Rumi's Sufi insight and intuition in his works, as well as the relationship based on Rumi's Sufi insight with his specific and general audiences and how they affect the genesis of Mathnawi and Divan-e-Shams verses. The results of this study show that Rumi's Sufi insight and intuition has been more than ninety percent effective in the genesis of Divan-e Shams and more than sixty percent in the genesis of Mathnawi poems. Therefore, in interpreting or criticizing Rumi's poems, they should not be considered without considering the contexts and requirements of the position and factors outside the text, including Rumi's specific and general audiences and their Sufi interactions with each other.
