Abstract
Abstract
Place is considered as an important element of meaning production in any narrative, and its manifestation in discourses is either objective and physical, or abstract; Therefore, when the objective aspect of a place becomes weak, it becomes imaginative and transcendental, and its symbolic aspect becomes a priority. Daqūqi parable is the narration of a mystical event and revelation. Revelation is beyond the realm of ordinary cognition, which is why symbolic language is used to express it. Due to the nature of revelation and the symbolic language in the story of Daquqi, the presence of places in the language has a metaphorical and symbolic function. These places are divided into two general categories: "event places" and "fluid places". The aim of the present essay is to highlight the elements of place and metaphor of place and by paying attention to the aspect of mystical revelation and mystical symbols and the intertextuality of places in this story, the semiotic function of symbolic place, how places are present in linguistic action, transformation processes, examines the place to its transcendence and its discourse function. The study showed that the language of this narrative to describe the revelation and its induction, has used many terms and spatial images such as sea, beach, desert and tree as metaphors of existence and has been able to animate or personify and clarify the discourse, which includes promoting many mystical facts and matters. Places also have phenomenological, transcendental and mythical functions due to the presence of the subject.
