Abstract
‘Imadaddin Nasimi, a great Hurūfi ufi Persian and Turkish Poet, who was one of the disciples of Fazlollah Naeimi Shervani (the founder of Hurūfiyyah Sect) in Eighth Century A.H. , prospered theological and underlying concepts of mystical and Hurūfiyyah thinking considering the special position of alphabets. Hurūfiyyah sect which was originated from Sufi and mystical thoughts of another sect, was very famous in Timurid period. Intellectual structure of this sect founded by the interpretation of disjoined letters in Early Islam, was called Hurūfiyyah Sect due to the holiness of alphabetic letters. This article written by descriptive-analytical and library method deals with the analysis of alphabetic and mystical poetry of Imadaddin Nasimi in his Divan, and it tries to answer the question that how does Imadaddin Nasimi use the rhetorical and literary aspects of alphabet in his mystical and alphabetic poetry. By studying and analyzing the complete collection of poetic evidence, it was revealed that ‘Imadaddin Nasimi has benefited many alphabet for the explanation of his religious and sectarian thoughts which is Hurūfiyyah Sect, and he has displayed these thoughts in the framework of alphabet using some signs and hints. Some theological concepts of Hurūfiyyah sect include believing in the unity of the existence, holiness of the letters, being the source of dot, and creation of "Alef" from it, divine position of human being, invisibility of God, manifestation of God in words and letters that they have been expressed in the poetry of ‘Imadaddin Nasimi in a format of themes, poetic areas, fine and delicate literary, religious, and mystical interpretations, compositions, and expressions. Among thirty-two Persian alphabetic letters, ‘Imadaddin Nasimi has benefited from just twenty-seven letters for this goal. "Alef" is the most useful letter for expressing alphabetic mystical thoughts of ‘Imadaddin Nasimi. After this letter, the religious and mystical aspects of the letters: "B", "Kaf", "Nun", "Mim", and "Lam" are the most useful letters in this context.
