Abstract
The language of mysticism is a symbolic language. Mystics have used natural symbols more than other symbols to express their experiences and thoughts. "Simorgh" and "Homa" are two natural symbols that have entered the myths and from there have entered the Persian mystical literature. Angha is a mythical bird that has entered Persian mystical literature from pre-Islamic myths. These birds have undergone many changes in passing from mythological and epic texts to the world of mysticism. They have more functions in the language of mysticism and reflect different meanings as a symbol. The present article intends to study the functions of these birds in expressing the main mystical ideas by descriptive and analytical methods, relying on prominent Persian mystical poems. The results of the research show that Simorgh and Homa are two natural and material birds that have taken on a mythical aspect And although the three birds of Simorgh, Homa and Angha in mystical poetry are a symbol for expressing a higher truth and are often used interchangeably have obvious differences. In addition, the symbolic use of birds with an ecological approach can be examined from three perspectives of language, thought and ethics, and the design of this issue can be effective in changing the intellectual infrastructure of society in relation to the environment.
