Abstract
A significant portion of narratives related to the miracles of saints is dedicated to their Ferasat.
Ferasat is a fundamental belief in Sufism, with its significance reflected in Quranic terms such as "Mulk-e Azeem" and "Furqan [of the inner]." Simply being familiar with the title and lacking a comprehensive understanding of its characteristics or the thoughts of the Sufi masters on this subject may hinder the proper comprehension of the underlying messages in these narratives. Clarifying the attributes of Ferasat and explaining related concepts require a detailed explanation through the classification and analysis of the perspectives of "Ahl al-Wahdat" (Unity Advocates).
This study aims to explore this topic. The results indicate that to grasp ferasat accurately, one must not only understand its definition but also become acquainted with "khater" (inner perception) and its various types. Understanding the distinction between "khater" and "ilham" (inspiration) is also crucial.
Familiarity with concepts such as "wahi-e sirr" (secret revelation), "wahi-e jahr" (public revelation), "Muhaddath," "Murawwa'," "Mustanbat," "Mutawassim," "Mutafris," "Ferasat hikmi" (intellectual ferasat), and "Ferasat ilahi" (divine ferasat) plays a significant role.
Awareness of the permanence of ferasat and the divergence among Ahl al-Wahdat regarding whether Ferasat is considered among extraordinary habits is essential for elucidating the position of Ferasat.
